On materials

We build with materials that age well.

We build with materials that age well. Concrete that picks up the patina of use, timber that silvers in the sun, stone that holds its grain. A building should look better in its tenth year than in its first.

On clients

We work for clients who want to be involved.

We work for clients who want to be involved in the design, not clients who want the building delivered to them. The best projects come from a brief that is argued over, not one that is signed off in the first meeting.

The studio is based in Oslo and London. We meet clients on site for the first walk and in the studio for design reviews.
